The Search
(originally penned Aug. 9, 1990)
What is it that MAN seeks?
Is it the unrelenting quest for knowledge?
Is it the indeterminable hunger of the unknown?
Is it the question of the purpose of existence?
If a man would look into his own self, he may find the answers to these questions, and more, like why the Earth rotates around the sun. But, will he ever be satisfied with the answers he finds?
I think not! A mans' curiosity will never be quenched by mere mortal mentality. "There must be more," he will convince himself, "or is this all there is?"
It is a thirst that shall ne'er relinquish itself from MAN's curiosity. It is a question that may not be answered until we, as a race, reach the time of our own maturity. But, even then, will it ever truly be quenched?
