starlit dreams
i fell for a shooting star
damn aren't they a sight
even the people with obligations in flight
it's beauty that never quits
it's a heaven that spirit lifts
and it's my silent confidant
and nothing in return does it want
that heaven knows what others are blind to
maybe if i look up she'll help me find you
a never un-true, lover, i can't stay
i am pulled and pushed into a judgemental day
i kick and i scream until my vocal chords fray
i wake up and everything is dust again
you can only dream of bathing in the linn
but how romantic that would've been
how lovely that could've been
damn aren't they a sight
even the people with obligations in flight
it's beauty that never quits
it's a heaven that spirit lifts
and it's my silent confidant
and nothing in return does it want
that heaven knows what others are blind to
maybe if i look up she'll help me find you
a never un-true, lover, i can't stay
i am pulled and pushed into a judgemental day
i kick and i scream until my vocal chords fray
i wake up and everything is dust again
you can only dream of bathing in the linn
but how romantic that would've been
how lovely that could've been
