trap
every human being has a trapped self
not me, I know that I am more than this
feeling like being something else
I am alive and I am real, I do exist
no matter how convincing it may feel
there's no doubt because I definitely am
definitely, we can only suspect what is real
me is my only fact – so I trust in him
we do exist (though even this may not be sure to say)
we exist - that's it, we don't choose
but not in the way we feel it everyday
how could there be any deeper truth
there always is an unbridgeable gap
but we are the very conscious act
resulting in a perfidiously intuitive trap
knowledge is a feeling and not a fact

The great debate- Are we more than the sum of our parts? A conversation worth having with oneself. Who is right?- Hamlet-"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - or Popeye the sailor - "I am what I am and that's all that I am!"- The truth as you have so artfully stated is that there is no answer because "knowledge is a feeling and not a fact" - Great poem - compelling and contemplitive.
