Silent Cry

The sound of a cry
From a distance and
I can hear the
Silent cry for just
A hand to help
Out of pain or
Out of shame
Just a lit hand
A cry for help
With the emptiness
Echo right back
At your face
And no hand for
Just a little help
Just empty space
All it surrounds you
Is nothing but
The blank gaze
The silent cry like
The whisper in the wind
Hunts me every
Now and then
As I hear the cry
For just a lit help
But I’m so helpless
In my own little
Corner of emptiness
