Heaven Quest

I wade knee-deep
Into gelatinous galaxies
Of plasma, and it still burns

On hands and knees I carefully crawl
Amidst a pantheon of the shattered planets
Dodging asteroids and comets along the way

I run through bright realms and shimmering curtains
Of clinging centuries and gossamer gases
Vanquished to the vulgar vortex

Collapsed stars clutch at my harried heels
I yield completely to their dark embrace
Pulling me into different dimensions

I break free only to begin once again
Always looking but never finding
More than a memory, of You
