Resplendent Rubies (competition poem)

I'm not entirely certain if this poem will make sense without the image, but you can find it in the competition, "Picture inspiration".

They say her death was worth a thousand pictures
But nostalgia strangled in angst for just one last memory
And my true loves dress spilled, camera prefect, like resplendent rubies
Posing for the shadows and overcoming the test of time with a single portrait
Embodying a piece of her essence that a reapers finger tips shall never graze

They say a pictures worth a thousand words
As sentiment bleeds ink for a novel incomplete
And haunted willows subconsciously branch over like the flesh of a cover
Shielding the tragedy of a precious book forever treasured
And my morning mahogany dresser embraces our romance like a coffin
