Decaf Foam Coffee
I can't go back
through the door I entered
after songs were played
and strangers wept
and claustrophobia found me
even in the open air
I couldn't take in fast enough
or nearly enough
to keep upright
in stiff backed chairs
with unbidden hands
holding each arm captive
til the sentencing was over
with, a unanimous amen.
