The Teacher
I am going to teach you the greatest love you have ever known. But, then I must go. I am a teacher not a believer.
I will hurt you. Just know that I am hurting more. I have taught this before, and I feel what I teach. I am destined to never have everlasting.
For time, and time again, I feel the greatest love ever then walk away. Leaving shattered hearts and broken dreams. Breaking off and leaving another piece of my own, til I have none left.
This will be a gift to you. My gift to you. Cherish it everyday. Wish upon it on the twinkling diamonds that canopy you each and every night. Crave it. Conceive it. Hold it. Crush it. Shatter it into pieces.
I pass this gift to you to know this greatest love ever so you may share it as I do. It is my time to retire and become a believer and not a teacher.
