I love originality & there is freshness of thought in this piece. Which makes it memorable. That "Life wonders" and senses our disharmony with its life-giving force or principles. Indicated by "what the bell gives the chime" ... the music or the harmony of sound.
A great message in this piece, Scot. Life is left wondering why humanity is out of harmony with its best intentions. When the "bell" [of existence] offers only harmony. This is the takeaway, from the poem, for me. Huge thought contained in only four lines. Some times a short poem can say a great deal. This one certainly achieves that. Wonderful work!!! :)
Thank you so much, I knew you would get the bell and the chime., sometimes the obvious is so hard for us to see! Thank you again Carlene, for your continuing support of my efforts, your feedback has been very important in my growth as a writer..
