heart pounds, hearing the heavy thuds
swelling emotions, swallow them down
shutting my mind, like men forcing a door
trying to repress the monster within

painful tears, falling ever so silently
body’s still, while my mind is raving
black threatening memories, flock like crows in my mind
as the darkness creeps closer and closer...
