Darling Destroy Me!
Hibernate with me,
Rest your head next to my heart,
Listen to it beat,
We’re stuck in the moment,
Not caged, our obligated.
We wake to the thunder,
You despise thunder,
Its grips your mind,
Pulverizing thoughts of happiness,
I’m here to hold you.
Summer is gone,
Winter has reprised,
So we welcome rain,
And the chill.
Part II
Realism creeps in,
Reality forces through,
You think you don’t need me,
But I need you.
The fabric of our love,
Is ragged and falling apart,
I’m looking at a falling light bulb,
Smash to the ground,
That smashed light bulb,
Is like our bond,
Broke and filtered with darkness.
This house has never been so empty,
The cobwebs are lonely,
And my mind is figuring out a plan,
One of action,
But it’s too swollen and too drunk.
I pampered my soul for too long,
Now I show it,
For what it’s worth,
It’s like a dingy room,
Dark and unappealing.
I’m skating on the thin ice,
With a bottle of vodka in my hand,
Tears stroll down my cheek,
Like a couple walking through an alleyway,
Of bubbling love.
Darling destroy me.
