Extinguished Flame
In the beginning of the end
It was like razor blades
Slashing at every fiber of my being
Near the middle of the end
Fire arose deep within my soul
Igniting a flame
Boiling my blood with anger
As the days rolled past
The time flew by
Since the moment i last laid eyes on you
The once hypnotic and inviting face
Has become nothing but a bland memory
Of what once was my sanctuary
I cannot see you as clearly
Thoughts of you never reach my mind
The pain and the anger have died
The fires of my soul have been extinguished
To never rise again
For it no longer burns for you
You are but a fraction of a memory
A past i put behind
To never recover again
In the end of it all
I'm happier
Without you.
It was like razor blades
Slashing at every fiber of my being
Near the middle of the end
Fire arose deep within my soul
Igniting a flame
Boiling my blood with anger
As the days rolled past
The time flew by
Since the moment i last laid eyes on you

Has become nothing but a bland memory
Of what once was my sanctuary
