"Flying on my broken wings" is a tremendous line! I can feel the emotion in this lovely haiku. Thanks for sharing, Iris. :)

This is my favorite Haiku by Basho:
piercingly cold
stepping on my dead wife's comb
in the bedroom

Uh ... really. This is indeed superb and leaves room for interpretation. Why does he step on his wife's comb ... I don't like my first guess about that. But that's why I love those Haikus ... Basho is my second favourite. Kaga_ No_ Chiyo's my first as you might picture :-).
