Through it all

I've been high,
I've been low,
through it all I've been me.
I've been good,
I've been terrible,
through it all I've been me.
I've known happiness,
I've known sorrow,
through it all I've been me.
I've known pleasure,
I've known pain,
through it all I've been me.
Through all the trials and tribulations
I have always remained.
I fall down but I always get up.
I will always be me,
scarred and battle tested
but stronger none the less.
My afflictions and heartaches
can provide the strength to those who are weak.
