Exposed
She was a princess,
Though I did not know it at the time,
Dismissed her I did,
For I knew not beauty.
As the years passed,
Her rightful place she now commands.
Royalty was her destiny,
A queen she became and will forever be.
A perfect life royalty demands,
But life is never as it seems,
As fate had yet to play its song...
It was not one defining moment,
For we had newly crossed paths.
Again, dismissed her I did,
For I knew not who I was.
Fate being what it is...
A ribbon intertwining the fabric of time,
Continued to play.
A faint note we started to hear,
That soon turned to verse,
Now a song delights the stage,
That is our hearts.
We are now listening,
As the song sings...
..of beauty
..of admiration
..of want
..of passion
..of desire
..of Love.
Yes Love,
In its most dangerous form...
Illicit Love.
How can it be?
That the Queen of queens
Possess such desire for a lowly writer of prose?
Who knows not who he is,
Only what he wants to be.
He is now possessed to write,
For inspired he has become,
As he pens the poetry of her genius,
Her admiration grows, her desire consumes, her passion explodes,
Love has started to bloom.
Slowly she is stripped,
Not of her beauty, for she will always be,
But of her royalty, for it is only in name.
What can drive the Queen of queens,
To be so exposed,
As to bare her soul?
Only an immense passion,
In need of escape,
Can void such a Queen of her royalty,
As to imprison her,
Within her own fervor of unassailable love.
Imprisoned, her love has become,
Dismissed it will never be,
For love comes from within,
And will always be.
She has allowed me to see it,
Not in her, as it is a truth,
But within me, where hidden it has been,
For she has not exposed herself to me,
It is I who has revealed myself to her.
