Staring down the barrel,
are you rewriting the bible?
Are you healing with words,with mind,or with hands?
Are you drinking from rivers,
or champagne bottles?
Alone,or in love?
In love,but alone?
Learning how to play guitar,
reading palms,
or counting cards,
in a city of sin?
Born again,on heroin?
Or eating from platters,
in California with actors,
who treat you just right,
or just enough to get you through the night?
        Some cosmic light,
        lets me know you're alive,
        as if you're right...By my side.
Are you bearing children?
Are you banking in the millions?
Or sleeping on benches,
with fear as a blanket?
Modeling lingerie,
catwalks and cocaine?
Are you talking to God?
In a church or a synagogue?
         If you should cry...
         Into this sad world of mine.
         I'd run to your enemies...
         And take them out...One by one.
