Sapphire and Ruby Romance

Snow-covered forests bathed in moonlight

The stars reflection on lakes like glass

Gentle rain washing over me as I lay dying

Sing to me of these things and I will fall asleep in your arms

I fly through the night

Carried by your wings of love and loss

The stars twinkle behind us

The wind blows over my limp body

Rain falls from the blackened sky

And a gentle mist is slowly descending upon the trees

You fly low over a lake

My toes making ripples dance across the surface

You lay me down on the bank

Brush my hair from my face

I stare into your emerald eyes

Unable to move or speak

Tears fall down your cheeks

Your sapphire wings enfold me

Your ruby heart crumbles

My dying eyes say goodbye

In my dream

Death and romance combine

You sang to me a story

And I fell asleep in your arms...
