Good Night Kiss

Sunshine eyes and
moonbeam smiles,
tiptoe to the door then
burst into my heart.
Lips to hair
I linger there,
inhaling remains
of sweaty games.
Ear to chest,
my eyes rest
love's rhythm beating
in a moment fleeting.
With mind uncluttered
and words not uttered,
the face of the boy,
source of joy,
I memorize
and capture as
he wiggles down
and runs away
into the arms of another day.
