Pierce The Veil
How far gone have we traveled through the past
How far must we go through our own nightmares
How free can we become depending on fleeting souls
How free can we trick our naivete to be
The truth can overshadow lies only when belief overshadows doubt
Our hearts can join at the scars if we could find the words to beg
Our souls can be revived by hope only when our lungs breathe freely
Peace can overpower war only when the bullets are stripped of hate
How lost must we be before we ask for guidance
How low must we fall before we reach our for help
How locked inside must we be before we release the key
How large must we allow our demons to be before we pierce the veil
Our eyes witness such hate and such violence
It becomes a sick habit like picking at our scabs
Our hands can create such beauty and such wonder
Why do we waste them on the eternal grindstone
