Gravity

Undisturbed, chemically
treat unrest as the dreams
recalled from sleep
endure only in my head,
while most had never even
made it that far

Singular motion,
such as a rear-view
mirror wears the legend
what objects may have
been closer
than they appeared

In hindsight
of a reckless mind,
fixing without repair
or remedy to remain
walking through
the still-life of
those dreams, as
necessity overcomes
the will for...

Stoic and unyielding,
the hide of creature
life breathes you in
and back out, fire
is an e'er fertile ground
for unknowing--though
memory will lick at
its wounds and scars

Only to wander,
wonderingly,
at what happened
before
and after

When the molecules
of residual vision
become obscured
by the road ahead.
It always seems shorter,
what you have left
in contrast to what
you had left behind

You heart,
your dreams--
and what other sacred runes
left, line after line
of waiting, that it
seems you can't remember
what to do once you
have arrived at your
intended destination

Hope seems reckless
in the din of so many
other peoples dreams,
filling your head
with logic that cannot
possibly co-exist.
Democrazy seems like
the best of the worst
solutions

Only to wander,
wonderingly,
at what happens
before
and after.
