Dressed in Clowns Clothing

I walk alone
On the only road
I've ever known

Eyes pointed at me
Won't let me be
Because the outside is all they see

Can't see past the lies
Not what's inside
Where I slowly die

Life is a test
Praising the best
No room for the rest

Can't catch the grasp
Fading till I clasp
The last bitter gasp

Walking tall
Avoiding the walls
Trying so hard, not to fall

Escaping lonely death
Don't know what's left
Till the last theft

With myself beneath
A mask of smiles beseech
Getting hard to breathe

Hanging on
To nothing strong
Where did it go wrong

Caught in the trap
Soon my vine will snap
And I'll be laying in death's lap

But still the glares
With awful snares
Raging fierce like bears

The pain in the gap
Of the holes they tap
Still stinging like a slap

drawing no breath
Light falling like meth
This is my inner death

Too soon?
Nah, too colorful
