The years have been hard,
but he has made it through the storms
with a smile
that both breaks and melts my heart.
He is something to behold.
My eyes have lingered longer
as the years have passed.
His body is rock,
weather worn and cut.
My touch craves his skin.
The curve of his muscles
flex and bend to embrace me.
Encircled in a halo
of comfort and protection.
I lean against his caress
and tremble
beneath the very thought of him.
Like lock and key we fit.
He opens things once hidden,
putting me at ease
and making the universe shake inside of me.
There is love in his eyes,
returned by mine.
He needs not a word to know,
but the words escape me
like breathing
and I am lost to him.
Hopelessly.
