Dat Feel
Sitting on my driveway at night,
It slowly begins to rain.
A feel comes over me that I dare not fight,
A feel that comes with the pain.
It starts out warming, sensitive, calm,
But can quickly turn to darkness.
I sit outside and hold out my palms,
And I can see her standing in that dress.
Dat Feel.
A feel of all the feels one can feel.
As if the rain's purpose was to steal,
It takes away all the feels I feel.
As I stand up to walk away,
The rain around me slows my pace.
I look down into a puddle and have to stay,
Because of the reflection of my face.
A face that looks like it feels Dat Feel,
The horror's and hope's of them all.
It causes me to fall to a kneel,
And it causes my thoughts to stall.
I am called back to a regret,
A girl if you will.
If I had another chance, that chance you could bet,
I would take even if I had to kill.
I looked back in memory in a sudden flash,
And was struck in awe where I stood.
I destroyed everything, watched it burn to ash,
And I would take it all back if I could.
I still think back every time it rains,
How I would try to strike any deal.
What washes over me kills me with pain,
Whenever I feel Dat Feel.
It slowly begins to rain.
A feel comes over me that I dare not fight,
A feel that comes with the pain.
It starts out warming, sensitive, calm,
But can quickly turn to darkness.
I sit outside and hold out my palms,
And I can see her standing in that dress.
