My slice of peace
There is no one here
No anxiety or stress to fear
As rain continues to fall
In peace and now alone once and for all
The lovely ghost that walk in the day and night
Even they know for know things are alright
A sense of calm fills the foundation of the walls
It's even better when no one calls
The pain is ok
Because a chunk of my hell is far away
It is dark and wet, I see the cloudy sky
No tears from my face for once it is dry
I know I need to move away from here
With someone special, very soon she will be near
Only in time the process of moving will come
Before my soul becomes cold and numb
We all need to be alone every now and then
Moments to unwind and recover again
As time moves like the sun and the moon
My normal life will return very soon
The sounds in the house put me on constant high alert
I never let my guard down often I blurt
With a steak knife in my hand
Marching through the house to defend and make my final stand
