Memory Lane

Last night, I got a few miles
Closer to you again
I went down the same road again
Thinking that I might
Be able to see you again
But what a fool I was
Thinking that I might have a chance
To be with you again
I was looking for you in the crowd
Thinking I could be with you once again
To feel your touch, smell your scent
One more time again
But I was lost in the darkness of my illusions
Restless, Delirious, Delirium
Till I saw the reflection of you face
In the empty window again

The focus being exclusively on one person is fascinating, since obviously a relationship has two components. Brings up questions that might be the ingredients for another poem. (like did each person have an equal investment, was this just a superficial like, etc.)
