Clouds Above.
As red leaks through my sore wounds,
I dream to cast my somnolent soul
Into a meadow of clouds above.
To shake hands with Him
In His peaceful kingdom.
Introducing me to fellow angels.
Who I will sprout wings with.
We must do good deeds
To earn our glory and halos.
But every swing of my fist I take,
It slams against trees and brick walls.
I fall deep until blood spuirts out.
Because it's hard to get there.
To live in that kingdom is what I want.
I'm stuck on Earth with frustration everyday.
My life bleeds until I am granted peace.
Because I do not belong here.
My home is in the clouds.
Inside the kingdom,
My heart would finally settle.
Now until then my wounds are unmended
They bleed out screaming for a touch.
A touch from an angel.
From the Most High himself.
To place bandages over my bloody fists
And lift my head as high as the clouds
In the sky.
I dream to cast my somnolent soul
Into a meadow of clouds above.
To shake hands with Him
In His peaceful kingdom.
Introducing me to fellow angels.
Who I will sprout wings with.
We must do good deeds
To earn our glory and halos.
