Can you let my soul come out and play?
Come on darling
For a little while
While you count your days,
Can you let my soul come out and play?
While you count the stars in the night sky
And moon shines bright,
After the sun has settled,
Can you let the boy come out and play?
Once you have suffered enough,
And you have blown your mind off,
Can you let my soul show you the way?
Come on darling.
Once you have seen enough grey,
Can you let my soul add a little color to your day?
While you worry about you worldly matters,
And you have let the truth astray,
Can he come out and play?
Once you are over with your slave like labour,
And your bloodstream is full of whiskey,
And the flowers don't mean anything to you,
Once your cup is full,
Can you let him out of his cage?
How you ask?
Well just ask yourself,
Are you ready to let him play?
While you awaken,
Will he come out and play?
Will he play?
Can he just come out now, and play?
Come on darling
