I Write to Make America Right Once More

These words with in me cannot be silenced.
This passion of mine, it can’t be stopped

The creative emotion with in my mind is constantly
…      Going . Going. .Going…

My hand writes the words so slowly,
It can’t keep up with these irrational thoughts.

I want to write to
Change…
change …
The school
Change…
The town. No!
Change the world.

I want to write to get our soldiers home,
And get our people
employed.
I want to write to create some stability.

I want to write to find a cure
To this countries ignorant mindset.
I want to write to educate, to liberate,
to separate
America from the rest.

I want to write to help gay rights,
Straight rights, hell I want to write
for the right to write.

I want to go back to a time when there were
No computers. No cell phones. No tablet typing.
The days when nuclear crisis was never an option.

Just a pen, a paper, and a brain…

I have a pocketful of solutions for all our worlds’ problems.
But my only problem is that because I am a woman,
I am forever being forever  silenced.

I will write for the fear of forgetting.
The fear of not knowing.
For hope.
Freedom.
And Life as we know it.
I will write for the change that will make us all the same.

Whether black, white, gay or straight.
Men and woman will have equal pay.

I will write for the soul of this country
With hopes that someone will hear me
over the media
the tabloids
and those damn infomercial’s.

I will write to sell something that
Could actually work
A dream, a plan, a new way of life
Whatever it takes,
I will continue to write

I write as a woman with a powerful mind. I write as a woman
Who seeks the right for all that’s wrong.
I write for the fact that I can not silence my brain.
I write, to try to keep myself sane.

But its hard to do something so easy as that… when the world around me
Has forgotten, where I am at.
