My Dream Man
Opened my eyes and had a dream
Saw you standing in front of me
Reached out to hold you close
Hand misted through…are you a ghost?
Could have sworn you are real
Your embrace had a solid feel
But each time we meet you wear a new face
And we’re in a new house in a beautiful place
If I sing our song when I dream
Will you come to me outside of dreams?
Think about you all the time
Determined to hear that you are mine
Opened my eyes and thought I had a dream
There you were in front of me
Reached out and held me close
Flesh and bone neither a ghost
Could’ve sworn you were real
Because your body had a solid feel
When we meet again I’ll know this face
In an old house in a beautiful place
Can’t remember our song outside of dreams
But all is well for you are here with me
Only you occupy my time
This night the wind whispered that you are mine
Saw you standing in front of me
Reached out to hold you close
Hand misted through…are you a ghost?
Could have sworn you are real
Your embrace had a solid feel
But each time we meet you wear a new face
And we’re in a new house in a beautiful place
If I sing our song when I dream
Will you come to me outside of dreams?
Think about you all the time
Determined to hear that you are mine
Opened my eyes and thought I had a dream
There you were in front of me
Reached out and held me close
Flesh and bone neither a ghost
Could’ve sworn you were real
Because your body had a solid feel
When we meet again I’ll know this face
In an old house in a beautiful place
Can’t remember our song outside of dreams
But all is well for you are here with me
Only you occupy my time
This night the wind whispered that you are mine
