To my sunflower
Those golden petals are up in a blaze
And your beauty grows with each passing day
From the sun light that is my
ceaseless gaze
I see your stormy past, when skies were gray
Frightened was this cowering sun at first
To exude his light on a picked flower
Yet He found that he needn't fear the worst
He rose; no longer did this sun cower
He has had his flowers wilt in the past
And this sun had to sorrowfully set
In instances of earth spinning too fast
Those sun rises, he has come to regret
But this is a new start- and a new day
And our sunset- eternities away
And your beauty grows with each passing day
From the sun light that is my
ceaseless gaze
I see your stormy past, when skies were gray
Frightened was this cowering sun at first
To exude his light on a picked flower
Yet He found that he needn't fear the worst
He rose; no longer did this sun cower
He has had his flowers wilt in the past
And this sun had to sorrowfully set
In instances of earth spinning too fast
Those sun rises, he has come to regret
But this is a new start- and a new day
And our sunset- eternities away
