A Song about Passion
Touch me, darling; caress my slender form…
Let them say our love is not of the norm!
When we entwine, giving into passions base…
We shall sample a heaven beyond place.
Though our genders be in many ways the same,
We need have not regrets, nor shame!
Like the butterfly, a soul is delicate as lace…
Like the waterfall, love can fill an empty space.
Dear maiden let me see your beautiful face…
I long to hold you tight, in the warmest embrace.
Your love would be precious as a gilded vase…
So please write me, with words filled with grace.
See the butterfly as it goes,
Feel the waterfall as it flows.
Close your eyes and I’ll be there…
Open your heart, dear maiden fair!
Like the firefly, your spirit burns so bright…
Like the nightingale, passion takes new flight.
Dear maiden come to me; fill me with delight!
I long to kiss your lips amidst the candlelight.
Your love would be glorious before my sight,
So please tell me you love me, tell me tonight.
See the firefly as it flies;
Hear the nightingale in the skies.
Close your eyes and bring me there…
Open your heart, dear maiden fair!
Like the starlight, I illuminate a land gone stark.
Like the cricket, I call out to you in the dark…
Dear maiden follow my light and unto me hark!
I long to touch you before we together embark.
Your love would fill me like cargo fills an ark…
So please be not timid, for love leaves its’ mark.
See the starlight as it glints;
Hear the cricket as it sings.

If I be an angel, illumined by the noblest light,
Then I seek another like unto myself…
To fill my lonely hours with joys that feel right!
Love is a treasure beyond all wealth…
Knowing no gender save the one we do share.

Thanks, my dear friend! Being a passionate soul, I tend to fall in love very easily... yet oft I have found true love to be the hardest thing of all to find, since so few these days seem to value it so highly. Yet even so, I have never given up my quest to find it! I have always pondered what sort of raw feelings and emotions I would pour forth for the right person, for that special someone. So this poem channels those taw feelings and emotions into the sort of verse, as I would recite for one such as I am seeking in life.
To me, love is beyond gender, beyond all things that humans oft perceive as being important. Love is not just passion, but all-encompassing glory. So this too is a vital aspect of this poem... universal glory through love, and boundless love for another with no human boundaries to say whether it be right or wrong. So the love being shown in this poem is a pure, uninhibited love.
Love is one of the forces that fuels my soul in life, both the longing for it and the beauty of it. So this poem is a celebration of love as my heart defines it. I am glad you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing and sharing it!

So true and well put, Love is beyond ALL things, beyond death even, Love is many things, it holds the unconditional of true love and the illusions of expectations, the Love of Self, the forgiveness of acts of Love, the topic is endless
