Thoughts at sunrise

Thoughts at Sunrise...

At sunrise darling Heart, I find I think of you

Baby steps that seem as great leaps occur

I know you have walked the road of the damned

And some people just don't understand it

But you know I’ve been there too.

I'm sure I think you could fly if you tried

Cut those ropes darling set your spirit free

You know that I desire you with all I am

And all that I could be.

I'm gazing at a sunrise across a series of hills

The nearest hill is darkest, I make no features out

Misty on the next, a tree stands there alone.

Or perhaps that tree's a person and perhaps that person is you?

And you're gazing at a sunrise across a series of hills

Just still, at peace, alive, the Lady with green thumbs

So the question comes now gently and I really need to ask...

What colours do you see there?

Or is it all just dark. For I can tell you if you’ll hear me

This world is a splendid place there need not be fear.

I hear you, softly now you say. I don’t want to scare you

Please don’t run away. Instead run toward me.

Chase me I’ll set you free I’ll do the best I can.

Take my hand sweet woman. Walk with me,

Together we could paint with colour

For all the world to see...    mfc '13
