Who needs love

Who needs a lover
when you have good friends like mine,
friends who are there for me
come rain or shine
they'd never abandon me
never curse my name
I know where I am with them
there is no game

Who needs to sleep with someone
when your happy to sleep alone,
no one snoring in your ear
or taking away the covers
no one to leave you aching
wondering if that was it,
Alone you know you'll acheive it

Who needs a boyfriend
on the phone all the time
asking where you are 
what your doing
who your seeing
your life is not your own
an extention of yourself
his needs become your own
and slowly you lose sight of you

Who needs a man
to love you and hold you tight
kiss  you through the night
make your heart ignite
who makes you feel,
makes you reel
every time he makes a move

Who needs love,
if it even exists
to feel part of something
greater than yourself
to love another with no reserve
to have him love you

who needs this feeling,
this fragile thing,
that makes us do such foolish things
