Seasonal Beaches

His footsteps slowly fade away on the beach.
Happiness washes away where once it was in reach.
He wanders pale white and cold like a man dipped in strong bleach.
The bone-chilling wind sucks the life out of him like an unforgiving leach.

Frozen memories surround around his mind,
Making him wish for the past that was left behind.
Patiently waiting for a sign that would tell him karma would be kind.

So alone and helpless.
Frantically screaming.
His yells are quieter than whispers.
Trying desperately to be heard,
But his voice cannot find listeners.

He is about to give up.
Enough is enough.
Depression overflows his cup.
Then out of no where a woman appears.
Suddenly things don's seem so rough.

Something stirs inside his heart.
Is it love or a new start?
"What is there to lose?", he says.
His heart is already broken apart.

He tries to get her attention.
Slowly she begins to notice.
He realizes he loves her...
If only she could know this.

Taking a leap of pure faith he confesses it in a small whisper.
She turns out to be a good listener as his heart turns into a twister.
Then he leans in carefully,
Desiring to kiss her.

They join together forever for the better and make promises of never letting go.
Now they walk on the sand, hand in hand, letting everybody know.
