Gone
Don't remember how long I have been gone.
Walking out that night for I could not stand to be alone.
Frozen world around makes me breathe easier, forget your cold embrace.
Looking into the starry sky I forget the last look on your face.
Cold winds helping me erase the imprints of your hug, that I still wore.
Sounds of the night making me shut out your final words.
I will not go back to the place where I waited for you to return.
I have moved on.
I am free of the hope of our future together.
I am out of the day dream I had lived in.
Relishing the electric rush of pain just as blood stings through a frozen limb to bring it back to life.
I am glad to be back into existence, for when I was with you I was gone, gone into a trance.
