The Second Question
I called her up
and she answered.
Hello I said again.
You said that
she said
What can I do for you
she asked
I can't remember
I said
She laughed
and said I was silly
Who calls someone
and then forgets
why they called in the first place?
Standing in a pool
of emotions
spreading out
on the floor
and not recognizing
my own life force
déjà vu
repeating a previous imprinting.
I called someone I trusted
about something that seemed important.
Funny that.
Anything you want to ask me, I asked?
Anything you want to ask me she asked?
If I could remember I would be remembering.
Wouldn't I?
She laughed.
I laughed.
I guess I forget.
The first day
I asked her was the day
of the accident.
When was this second time?
Who am I?
I don't know she said.
You must have
a wrong number.
