The cold bites down
Christmas wishes spoken

A time to give
A time to share
Childrens excitement filling the air

The day has arrived all to soon
The turkey defrosted to eat at noon

Presents unwrapped with shouts and laughter
pictures taken to look at after

The day goes by all to quick
Telling the children dont eat to much
you'll end up sick..

The evening arrives, kids of to bed
New books opened, New books read

A cuddle on the sofa, new nightgown
A fire flickers it's warmth around
All the while the cold still bites down
