friend lost

 I remember when you left on that snowy day, sadness  filled my heart I knew you couldn't stay. I held your hand tears gushing from my eyes, I told you I love you and I said goodbye. You were the best friend that I ever had, when I think about you I'm anything but sad. now its been more than a decade since we parted ways, and because of you I'm stronger every day. I wrote this poem just to let you know, you changed my life and touched my soul.
