My strange epiphany
I met a stranger in my dreams
Who told me that "love don't grow on trees "
Then a bird flew by and
The stranger walked away
I woke up in a sweat as tho my body and soul
Had entered my conscience
I couldn't wait to sleep again
The night after
I entered the dream world through a
colossal entrance made of diamond
Encrusted ideas that I've been waiting to burst , the stranger was there
Waiting for me , so still , you can see the
earth rotate
I ran to the stranger who said
"Love don't grow on trees " once again
I responded , do you know if loves for me ?
Then the stranger was gone
The next morning I found myself daydreaming
Eyes half open and the wind strong enough to pull you away
The stranger ,I never saw him again
I lay under a tree and gaze into
The open air that smelled like the aftermath
Of a storm mixed with happiness
Someone came to that tree and leaned on my shoulder for comfort
I then realized the stranger was right
Love don't grow on trees
It grows in our hearts
I had never dreamed again
