bathwater
You reach with your left leg for the floor as steam escapes your bare skin. You drape a purple towel over your back and over you lanky arms. The mirror beckons you but you dodge your reflection as you walk out the bathroom door. I watched you flip you head down to your knees as you dried you long, black hair. Every move you made seemed like that of a dancer's and your eyes resembled the innocence of child's.
Your towel dropped down to your feet and you lept onto your bed, staring at the ceiling you thought. You thought about you life without me, you thought about the vacancy which now stood beside you bedside every night. I whisper in your ear as you fall into your dreams, most of them of me. I watch your body toss and turn as the dreams consume your mind.
