Soak away for today
Hot steaming bath
Soaking the marks left upon my skin
Wishing I could soak away the marks left
Upon my heart as well
If you don't see it happen
Then you have nothing to feel
It's not your place you think
So you walk away
You walk away from the limping girl
You walk away from the girl wearing a sweatshirt in the middle of August
You walk away
And feel no pain
But I am left broken and bruised
I am left
To feel the pain
Hot steaming bath
Losing its warmth and comfort
Unable to soak away
All of the pain
See you again soon
Hot steaming bath
When I have new marks
To be soaked gone
Soaking the marks left upon my skin
Wishing I could soak away the marks left
Upon my heart as well
If you don't see it happen
Then you have nothing to feel
It's not your place you think
So you walk away
You walk away from the limping girl
You walk away from the girl wearing a sweatshirt in the middle of August
You walk away
And feel no pain
But I am left broken and bruised
I am left
To feel the pain
Hot steaming bath
Losing its warmth and comfort
Unable to soak away
All of the pain
See you again soon
Hot steaming bath
When I have new marks
To be soaked gone
