My daughter called me tommie...

We look for signs in all we do
It's a natural thing ...
Something god intended for us to do

I forget that sometimes  as I try and find my way
But it's often the little things people do and say

My daughter called me tommie today

This by itself is no real feat; she eighteen months and it was kind of sweet
I'm big on this thing of staying true and I'm not trying to do it for you,you or you

The point is that no one living calls me by that name

So when Alivia said it ... I felt kind of strange
I thought who could have told her that... from whom did she hear

When I realized who it was from ... other things became so clear

Hi grandmom ... all is well and I'm doing fine
Just keep telling Alivia what's on your mind

My daughter called me tommie today
