The Love of My Life
His smile makes my heart flutter,
His Laugh makes my want to cry for joy,
His touch turns my legs to jelly,
His kiss lights every shadow in my mind.
He Denies he is handsome,
It only makes him more charming.
He says Im beautiful,
It only makes me feel more ugly.
He makes me someone else,
Someone Joyful and Brave.
He makes the pain vanish,
Without the slightest burning trace.
I'm the ugly Duckling,
He is the magnificent Swan.
Yet he loved Me,
The moment we met.
He Shines like a diamond,
While I am only coal.
He flows like the ocean,
I'm the stagnant pond.
Light relies on Him,
And doesn't give a damn for me.
Still He loves Me,
How Could this Be?
His Laugh makes my want to cry for joy,
His touch turns my legs to jelly,
His kiss lights every shadow in my mind.
He Denies he is handsome,
It only makes him more charming.
He says Im beautiful,
It only makes me feel more ugly.
He makes me someone else,
Someone Joyful and Brave.
He makes the pain vanish,
Without the slightest burning trace.
I'm the ugly Duckling,
He is the magnificent Swan.
Yet he loved Me,
The moment we met.
He Shines like a diamond,
While I am only coal.
He flows like the ocean,
I'm the stagnant pond.
Light relies on Him,
And doesn't give a damn for me.
Still He loves Me,
How Could this Be?
