lost to the water - for my friend who drowned...

I drift beneath the tide
sinking even further
the ocean becoming my new air

the weeds around my ankles keep a firm hold
the currents swirl around me
making sure i can't escape

blurry faces above the water call my name
but we all know it's far too late

my suffocated heart rests in a deep slumber
even if you save my lifeless body
my heart won't wake

forever i will watch over you
forever i will wait here for you
till the day you join me

keep me company in your dreams
keep the ghost of me alive with your smile[/font]

I am deeply sorry for you lost your friend and that the tragedy happened in front of you. Despite of that I appreciate the strength of your heart and the boldness attitude that you have shown towards life and particularly composing this poem as a tribute to your friend. I am deeply moved by some lines..."I will rescue you from the sorrow with happy memories of the times treasured together in life" is deeply touching and I almost felt the tears blushing down my cheeks in the last couple of lines..."Till the day you join me I will sleep i'll keep you company in your dreams"...god bless you, all the best...god will find peace to your friend's soul...
