Look Into the Mirror

Look Into the Mirror tell me what you see.
A handsome man, a beautiful woman, someone struggling to be free?
Are you the lawyer, the banker, the nurse, the cop?
Just plain old Jane/John Doe, moms or pops.
Who are you? Not your profession or your partnership,
Tell me about you ,don’t be shy, unbutton that frozen lip.
It is an easy thing to do, let the world know who you are,
Unique in the way you think, speak and act, that opinion is on par.
Pause and take the time to get to know the real you,
The rush of the rat race, deadlines and bottom lines, stresses more than a few.
Look Into the Mirror, who’s lookin' back, do you know?
The years have passed by, middle-aged now, time for me to grow.
Into myself, take charge and do what you’ve been putting off,
Forget the naysayers, make that dream come true, reach for the top.
The mirror makes you realize, time and space don't stand still,
From baby, to child and now adult, go ahead and exercise that will.
Make up your mind and finally go for what’s been missing,
Change can be good with the right frame of mind, live now, stop wishing.
Look Into the Mirror and move forward, full steam ahead,
Family, friends and conquering your goals in life, don’t dream, live instead.
