Lover's Embrace
cross paths
link hands
face to face
shadows stand
long and tall
together linked
entangled
in love's embrace
trace hand
down soft cheek
neither speaks
only breathes
eachother in
coexisting
in a world
where terror
and uncertainty
looms upon all
where poison
and pain
linger
after devastation
children in desolation
isolated
demonstrating
the truth
that stands out
from the lies
that spill
from liars tongues
sunset
paints memories
reds and golds
coppers and yellows
blending and molding
into pretty cascades
highlighting
what was invisible
making life
worth fighting for
the moon rises
the innocent sleep
lovers refusing
to let go
fears of loss
fears of pain
trying
not to dwell
trying hard
but the darkness
will always remain
the bombs drop
napalm on crops
across forests
cities and fields
soldiers march
to their awaiting
death
lingering upon hopes
of seeing
loved ones again
terror reigns
oppression
repression
and recession
riots and uprisings
quashed before
ressurrecting once more
and all alone
in a little room
shabby
and half burnt
to the ground
lies two lovers
who once
crossed paths
linking hands
face to face
shadows standing
long and tall
entangled
in love's embrace...
