An eye opener for me. Great read

Interesting write Egoist, overrall critique I'd suggest you imply some more poetry wise skills such as personfiication and imagery, rhyme and alliteration for example, I see you've done well with the imagery and you've shown me more than telled in this poem, which leads me to assume you are somewhat experieced in poetry, which is refreshing, i'd like to take a look at some specific parts in your piece -

"Double taking and looking in the mirror"

A strong start, captured my attention and had me wanting more. If I may, try incorporating a setting, an environment for me to visualize.

"In a world so fake I got caught up and
became fake myself."

Now this part right here, contrasts an image, an assumption in my mind that you are in a struggle, and this humanity is relevant to me, as i'm still interested I continue reading -

"I'm going to start reviewing myself,
wipe away the makeup and take off the
clothes that show me off too much"

Nicely done with the continuation of the first theme of assessing your own personality, this gives me a clearer picture as to your struggle, and your self-image. This leaves me wanting a strong powerful finish. -

"Smile at myself everyday, even if it's
forced, because I don't want to fail
myself again with this review."

That's the one! Strong, relevant and interesting ending that I enjoyed.

Overrall, form what i've read you are a good poet, there is definitiely room for improvement as we're never perfect, and that poem was a very human, touching and relevant piece.

Thank you very much for the feedback Necro, I struggle with alliteration and personification frequently, so I'm glad you pointed out that I should use it more often. I'd been avoiding it because I was weak with it, but now that I know it's what my poetry is lacking I'm going to start using it I think. Get myself better at it, heh.
