I'm Awful at Titles

If you could leave and start anew, tell me, would you do it?
Life is simple, so i hear, they say there's nothing to it
Well then maybe i'm not living yet, i'm not having a simple time
I'd say life if like a poem, there's not always an easy rhyme

Sometimes your pen runs out of ink, sometimes your pencil breaks
Sometimes you can't do what you want, there's just too much at stake
Sometimes you can't erase what you've put on the paper
Sometimes you can't write a rough draft and go back to change it later

Sometimes you write of all the things that break your heart
Sometimes re-reading those will end up tearing you apart
Sometimes you need to crumple it up and start all over
But sometimes you don't have that choice, there's not always a 4-leaf clover

Writing takes you skill, and time, and patience to do it right
And sometimes, unfortunately, it keeps you up at night
Sometimes you try too hard and it turns into something terrible
Sometimes mistakes you make end up irrepairable
