Whispering Walls
In the bathtub I lay
Whispering to these walls every day
They tell me stories of what they've seen
I close my eyes and play out the scene
A mother, hastily downing pills
Trying to discretely get her fill
A daughter, lying in blood
Emotions an overwhelming flood
A brother, with tears on his face
Hiding his fear of his living space
A stepfather, glassy eyed
Hurling his guts up as he cried
This bathroom's seen it all
It's seen every one of us take a fall..
Whispering to these walls every day
They tell me stories of what they've seen
I close my eyes and play out the scene
A mother, hastily downing pills
Trying to discretely get her fill
A daughter, lying in blood
Emotions an overwhelming flood
A brother, with tears on his face
Hiding his fear of his living space
A stepfather, glassy eyed
Hurling his guts up as he cried
This bathroom's seen it all
It's seen every one of us take a fall..
