Desolation in Technicolour
Despair bit into the sky ravenously
And left blood red chunks floating, mingling
with the remnants of a winter sunset.
It bit into me, biting like the rising
cold from the rock hard snow
iced and cemented under my near numb feet.
Maybe if I walk far enough
into the sky
it will eat me up
Anything....
other than being with myself.
I'm under this aubergine sky with wasted wishes
Watching the mutating richness of colour
Stirring up a frenzy.
Dominating now is vampire blood red
as I trudge on feeling dead.................
